Maybe this is a bad strategy, but now that I have everything from Vox backed up this seems like a good time to take a short break from blogging. And not a break like last April, when I half-heartedly posted every four or five days because of a sense of obligation. I'm talking about a real break. According to Wordpress, I generated 1,097 posts since June 2006. Those posts were tagged with 1,052 unique tags and generated 8,679 comments. I'd say that merits a few weeks off. But don't worry - any of you who are still out there - I'll be back before the end of September, just in time to ramp up before the annual Rocktober festivities.
we will miss you and look forward to your triumphant return. you can't spell Rocktober without otro. not quite hotrod, but close enough.
before you depart, would you stop over at the Vox Diaspora blog, http://voxdiaspora.wordpress.com and leave your new address as a comment in the post "welcome-fellow-dispossessed-voxer"? you don't have to have a wordpress account to leave a comment; you do have to leave a name and email( not visible)
enjoy your break

Oh, thanks for the heads-up on the Voxdiaspora blog. That's very handy. I'll go there now.
I'm not going to be gone long. I'm only planning on three weeks, in which I'll be deciding where I want to continue. It's not unlikely that I'll have to update Voxdiaspora with another URL at that time.

I hope you use your time off to concentrate on your marathon prep. I'd like to see you up to 5 mile runs by the time you return.

So I don't have to listen for doo-doo songs anymore?

The doo-doo song list is alive and well. Whether or not you choose to keep listening for new additions is up to you.

I was thinking that We Call Upon the Author has several chori of "doo doo doo doo doo doo" or p'haps "doot doot doot doot doot doot doot". I believe a judge needs to call it.
